Dedicated to my Mother
In Loving Memory Of,
Diane Odette Nicholson Smith
"D.O.N.S"

5/20/1946 - 10/20/2009

If God ever had a recipe to make the "Perfect Woman"
He used it when he made my Mother!

After a courageous 6 year battle with breast cancer, with me by her side,
the Good Lord finally eased her pain and put an end to her suffering.

She was a very beautiful, but modest, Woman who loved life in general.
Born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, she was the only child of Irene Burns and Adam Nicholson.

She was a very talented artist who loved to draw, paint, and sculpt.
She loved Gardening and her home reflected her passion for it.
She was an animal lover and collector of fine jewelry.

She was a proud member of:
The United Daughters Of The Confederacy!
And loved her ancestral lineage which she passionately  followed.

She retired from Mason Dixon in 1992 after 32 years of service.
She gave birth to two boys, whom she loved very deeply- one of which, was me!

Thank you Lord for letting this beautiful Woman be my Mother and for giving me the life of being her Son!
I could not ask for one better!

She will be deeply missed by many!

I LOVE YOU MOM!
