Let us convert your useless yard into something that you can use and enjoy for years to come!

Our Decks are built to stand the test of time!
We use only premium grade lumber that is "Arsenic" free!

All lumber is "hand Picked" by our Master Carpenters to ensure that you get only the best lumber available. Which eliminates using "warped" lumber like you get when you order the lumber from the lumber yards. The employees at the lumber yards work "by the hour" and could care less what your Deck looks like-as their job is to stack lumber that customers buy, not to go through it and "hand-pick" it. Just take it off the stack and give it to the customers. We don't do that at all-we carefully "hand-select" all lumber that we use and cull any lumber that doesn't stand up to our master carpenters standards as "premium" lumber. This ensures that you get exactly what you pay for!

Description

Our "Economy Decks" are your basic deck design that are built usually attached to an existing structure with posts for support.

Have a tight budget? Need to add value to your home without spending too much money? Then our basic Economy Deck is just right for you.

Our "Standard Decks" are built to last. We incorporate the use of carrier beams to support the decking floor which virtually eliminates any bounce, shake, or movement in the deck floor. With this design, the actual deck rests on-top of the beams for support, unlike the "Economy" style where the deck floor is supported by the posts and ledger board only, this style gets its support from the beams which span completely across the deck floor and supports the entire deck surface.

Our most popular Deck design!

Our "Custom Decks" are actually built the same as our "Standard Decks" but with some added details. We incorporate the use of 'carrier beams' for added support and then add a few custom features such as inset plants/trees & shrubs, curves and split levels, custom rails and stairs, along with custom deck floor board designs such as "Herringbone", "Picture-Frame", etc,,,etc,,,

Our Custom Decks are built to last and built to satisfy the customer.

Red Wood, Cedar, or any other native or exotic woods are incorporated into our "Luxury Decks" to make them a work of art and very appealing to the eye!

We add benches & planters, custom rails, custom floor board designs, spiral stair-cases. You ask for it and we put it into it!

These Decks are built to last and are truly a work of art.

Here is a great example of Smith & Son's Deck building skills.
The following series of pictures take you through a virtual tour of the steps and processes involved in building a deck.

This first picture depicts the house where the existing deck structure was attached to the rear of this home. The original deck structure was a normal 15'ftX15'ft PT deck(PT=Pressure Treated). The home owner, Eric Waldman, wanted the old deck removed(which was not usable due to damages)and a new deck built in it's place. Once the old structure was removed(as shown in the photo #1), Eric desided that he and his wife, Nadia, wanted a bit more of a deck. So, they asked the owner of Smith & Son's, Brian Smith, to design a new deck structure to take up most of their backyard space(Eric didn't like mowing the rocky yard)and to incorporate a split-level design that would support an above ground pool.
Once a design was agreed upon, Brian layed out the placements for the deck support posts.
In photo #2, it shows Brian(on the right in short pants), and one of his helpers(Pat) using a two-man power auger to drill into the ground to create a hole for the placement of the "Sona-tubes"(footers), that will support the structure.

Then there was a major problem! The ground in this particular area was very, very rocky and the power auger was rendered useless! So, Brian resorted to a 150lb "Jack-Hammer" and had to hammer each hole to break up the rock. Each hole had to be below the frost-line(which in this particular area was 48" inches below grade) and, as you can see in photo #3, Ginger(Brian's wife) is standing up inside one of the holes removing debris from it!
She stands 5'ft 5"inches tall! After 8 days of running a jack-Hammer and 28 holes later, Brian is ready to start setting the Sona-Tubes in place.
As you can see by the pile of rocks next to each hole, the ground was terribly rocky!

Once the Sona-tubes were put in place, leveled & plumbed, they were filled with concrete and allowed to cure for 48 hours. In photo #5, it shows Brian setting the 6"X6" posts for the first carrier beam.
Once all of the posts were in place, the floor joists are installed.
Once all of the joists were installed, the deck boards are then installed.
Here is Brian doing some finishing touches to the railing on the upper level of the structure.
Another view.
After Brian completed the first level, the second level was well underway.
Eric & Nadia's son Carson, enjoys running free on the deck. Due to the Waldman's having small children, Brian used only "Premium Grade" treated lumber that did not contain any "Arsenic" as a safe measure.
A great view of the finished deck structure.
Another great view.
This deck design accomplished just what Eric wanted=very little yard area to mow! As you can see in this next photo, the yard was very rocky.
The children love the new play area!
Another satisfied customer and another great job completed!
From start to finish, this deck took a total of 28 days to complete.
The over-all dimensions of this particular deck structure was 32'ftX64'ft!
